Valley-Wide set for youth baseball, softball registrations

The Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District is now accepting registrations for the 2025 youth baseball and girls' softball seasons. In-person registration is required, as online registration is not available for these sports. A birth certificate is required at the time of registration for age verification.

Key details for the 2025 youth baseball season include:

  • Shetland Division: For children ages 5-6, with a registration fee of $55. The deadline to register is Feb. 10, 2025.
  • Pinto Division: For children ages 7-8, with a registration fee of $55. The deadline to register is Feb. 10, 2025.
  • Mustang Division: For children ages 9-10, with a registration fee of $75. The deadline to register is Feb. 10, 2025. Skills Day is scheduled for Feb. 21 at 5:30 p.m. at Searl Park.
  • Bronco Division: For children ages 11-12, with a registration fee of $75. The deadline to register is Feb. 10, 2025. Skills Day is scheduled for Feb. 22 at 8:00 a.m. at Searl Park.
  • Pony Division: For children ages 13-14, with a registration fee of $75. The deadline to register is Feb. 10, 2025. Skills Day is scheduled for Feb. 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Searl Park.

Age cutoffs for baseball are as of April 30, 2025, while the age cutoffs for softball are as of January 1, 2025. All baseball and softball bats must be USA Baseball certified. The season's opening day is March 29, 2025, at the Diamond Valley Lake Community Park ball fields. More information about opening day will be released at a later date. Parents are encouraged to make every effort for their child to attend Skills Day to help balance league play. Skills day assessments are held at Searl Park, located at 1001 N. Buena Vista St., Hemet.
